My name is Marcelle van Veen — born in the Netherlands, rooted in San Diego for over thirty years with my husband, cat, and guinea pigs.
My work lives in the quiet. I enjoy noticing what moves beneath the surface, and capture this in my poetry and other writing.
The meadow is where all of that comes together — grown from years of poetry, novel and flash fiction projects, and a deep fascination with the patterns that keep returning in my life.
