Elemental You is a poetry collection about becoming whole. Its poems are like field notes from my life as a daughter– each section capturing it from different angles. They are the records of my heart that help me remember. The emotions I’m working through. The conversations I have with myself about the things I know but don’t do well. The wholeness of holding every contradiction.
I submitted Elemental You for the 2027 Academy of American Poets first book award organized in collaboration with Graywolf Press, and I also submitted it for the 2027 Jake Adam York Price for a First or Second Collection organized in Collaboration with Milkweed Editions.
